Apartments in Grand World, Phu Quoc

Grand World Phu Quoc entertainment district

Grand World is one of Phu Quoc's most dynamic areas, built by Vingroup on the island's northwest coast. This massive entertainment complex features Venetian-style streets, waterfront promenades, 50+ restaurants, bars, clubs, shopping and cultural spaces. It's where the island's nightlife concentrates.

Apartments here are in modern complexes (built 2020-2023) with pools, gyms and 24/7 security. 15 minutes from airport, 10 minutes from Long Beach, 5-10 minutes from VinWonders and Safari. Perfect for those who want to be at the center of action.

Note: Grand World is tourist-oriented — food prices are 20-30% higher than Duong Dong, evenings can be noisy (bars until midnight). For quiet long-term stays, consider Duong Dong or Ong Lang.

FAQ

In the evening the central streets are lively: live music, fountain shows, and bars open until 11pm-midnight. However, the residential complexes sit a little away from the main pedestrian zone and have good soundproofing. A few practical tips: pick an apartment on a high floor (10+) with windows that do not face the central street. During the day the area is completely calm; the noise starts after 6pm and winds down by midnight. If you are sensitive to noise and plan an early bedtime, consider Ong Lang or Duong Dong.

Grand World is not on the beach; it is an entertainment district with a promenade. Long Beach is 10 minutes away by motorbike ($5-7/day rental) or 15 minutes by Grab ($3-4). If having the beach within walking distance is a priority, consider Long Beach (apartments from $20/night, beach on foot) or Ong Lang (from $18/night, beach 2-5 minutes away). Grand World is better for those who want entertainment close by and don't mind a short ride to the beach.

Grand World is the culinary capital of Phu Quoc. More than 50 places are within walking distance: street-style Vietnamese pho from $2, grilled seafood from $5, pizza and pasta from $8, Japanese sushi from $10, Korean BBQ from $12, and fine dining from $30. There are coffee shops, cocktail bars and patisseries too. In the evening the promenade turns into a food street with live music. And since your apartment has a kitchen, you can alternate home-cooked dinners with eating out.

Phu Quoc airport is a 15-minute drive from Grand World. Your options: (1) our transfer, where we meet you at the airport with a sign, drive you to the apartment and show you how everything works, for $12-15; (2) Grab (the Vietnamese Uber), so download the app in advance, with a ride costing $8-12; (3) a regular taxi at the airport for $12-18, agreeing the fare before you get in. We recommend our transfer for a first visit: you save time hunting for a taxi and get a mini-tour of the area.

For 1-3 months it is excellent: the entertainment, restaurants and infrastructure will keep you from getting bored. For 3+ months, keep in mind that food prices are 20-30% higher than in Duong Dong, there are few local shops (no CoopMart), and the area is geared toward tourists. For a long winter stay many of our guests prefer Duong Dong (cheaper, everything close by) or Ong Lang (quieter, nature). But if you love a city vibe and don't want to cook every day, Grand World works well even for half a year.
